We were about ten miles out from Devil's Lake when Raena got a text from one of her friends asking if Raena was going to attend the "girls' night out" activity since our concert had been cancelled. Cancelled? We had been all over the Spirit Lake website before we left checking out the resort and the dining options but we never clicked on the Entertainment link. Had we done so, we would have seen this:
Fortunately we were able to cancel our hotel reservation without any charges. We decided to grab dinner in Devil's Lake and then head back to Minot so Raena could catch up with her friends. We passed on a steak house and Applebee's and set our sights on Old Main Street Cafe. It was a quaint little place, the food was good, and the prices were reasonable. When we go back to Devils Lake for the rescheduled concert in August, we will be sure to go back!
