Text message conversation between Jacob and his assistant baseball coach:
Jacob: Coach, quick question. If I miss half the day tomorrow, will I be able to play tomorrow night?
Coach Rios: Yes. Why would you miss?
Jacob: My brother is leaving tomorrow morning to give two years of his life preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it will be the last time I see him.
Coach Rios: Spend time with him and have your parents call the school in the morning. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Mathew 28:19, 20 ESV)
Jacob: Yes sir. Thank you.
